Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge with Hard Casing – TM8818
TM8818 is a professional grade ultrasonic thickness gauge that is encased with a tough aluminium alloy body to ensure that it can withstand all kinds of harsh environment that it will be deployed in – be it oil storage tanks or even shipbuilding sites.
Using the latest microprocessor technology, TM8818 is capable of measuring a wide range of thickness from 0.75mm to 400mm with a high accuracy level of ±(0.5%n + 0.05).
For your convenience, TM8818 comes installed with the automatic material code for 11 of the most commonly measured materials – you just need to select the type of material that you are measuring without having to memorise the sound velocity value of the material. Alternatively, if the material that you are measuring is not within the 11 most measured materials, you can just manually key in the sound velocity of the material to start measuring the thickness.
Understanding the hassle and inconvenience you will face when having to send the instrument to a lab for recalibration, the TM8818 is installed with a self-calibration function. If you would like to recalibrate the equipment, you can simply initiate the self-calibration function and do a simple self-calibration using the piece of calibration block that has been built onto the body of the TM8818 – and it takes lesser than a minute to complete the whole recalibration process.
Additionally, TM8818 also comes with the option to be purchased with software and PC connection accessory/Bluetooth data output feature so that you can download the measuring result directly to your PC.
